Why do youngsters crave for "more"?

Posted: 16 Jun 2010 08:00 PM PDT

Hi, I have noticed in my experience that majority of the present day youngsters are keen in amassing wealth; but unfortunately not through hard work.

If we say that there's a job/business where they have to "put in efforts", meet people etc., there are few takers. They find themselves more comfy within the four walls of their home/office in an AC atmosphere, glued to the computer and are more keen to earn easy money sitting at home. They have neither social commitments nor are bothered about what's happening around them. They live in their own world of fantasy.....internet and computers. Won't it affect them in the coming years if they continue this practice? Whats the solution for this? How can we groom the coming generation to be more responsible to the society and keep them away from the "greed of amassing wealth" through unscrupulous means?

Frequent changes in prerequisites & mode of filling the Higher posts

Posted: 16 Jun 2010 07:59 PM PDT

Hellow to all expert Members
I am working in MSEDCL, a company formed after restructuring of MSEB. Now company is contineously changing the mode of filling the higher posts alongwith prerequisites without giving notice of change. For Ex: Recently company has taken decision to reserve 50% posts in selection grade for direct recruitment curbing the chances of promotion of departmental officers. The prerequisites prescribed for this recruitment is framed in such a way that any departmental officer could not come in competition. The point has been raised on the patform of Officers Assoication but management is relectant to take it positively.

Is the action on the part of company is legal? Whether any remedy is available on the part of departmental officers to save their career development opportunities?

Directors' C&B Packaging

Posted: 16 Jun 2010 07:50 PM PDT

Working in a medium sized private company and looking to attract new Directors. Many applicants are with listed companies and parts of their package incorporate Share Options.

Appreciate thoughts on what are the basic and additional components now being collated into Director's packages / take over or effective 'buy-outs' of share options.

Has anyone worked with shadow share schemes and if so is there a good source of reference material for me to read

MS Access HRIS / HRMS

Posted: 16 Jun 2010 03:34 PM PDT

While Access 2010 has been available to developers and larger corporations for a while now, it has just been released to retail outlets and is available to the masses.

Why is this important? Many of you who are users of the HR Data Manager software may be considering upgrading your Microsoft Office version. The HR Data Manager HRIS/HRMS (http://www.hrdatamanager.com/) software was written in Microsoft Access and the current release was specifically designed for Access 2007. We have done extensive testing with Access 2010 prior to the retail release and have found our software to be fully compatible with this new version of Microsoft Office.

If you or your organization are evaluating or are current users of the HR Data Manager and were thinking about upgrading your Office version, you can do so without worring about it causing problems with our software.

Thanks!

HR Data Manager Development Team

The HR Data Manager - Human Resources Information System (www.hrdatamanager.com) is written in Microsoft Access and is fully customizable allowing you or our development team to make the software work for your unique needs.
