hi every one, i hope that every one is ok.

please, i need help every one becasue i am really in trouble. my problem is that my dissertation is on "pay satisfaction" and i have found it is very difficult to find out articles about this topic. please please please help me?

i have not sarted my literature review yet and i have limited time to submit my dissertation.

please help me to find good articles or full dissertation on "pay satisfaction"

Notice Period Buyout

Hi Seniors

My Offer letter mentions the following clause.

You or the company may terminate your service at any time by giving 90 days notice or basic salary in lieu thereof.

I have received an offer from a company which is willing to wait for 2 but not for 3 months. I have therefore requested my company to relieve me in 2 months. However, it seems the HR head has sent a memo to all managers to ensure that no employee is relieved without serving the complete notice period of 3 months (Ostensibly, this is to arrest attrition).

My question, is the company within its legal rights to enforce me to serve the complete notice period of 3 months, even though I am willing to serve 2 months and buy out the remaining 1 month.

Please note the memo mentioned above has not been communicated to the employees, but only to the managers. I have also tried to find this policy on the company's website and I cannot locate it.

This is Priya. I was working with an IT company from last 5 year as Deputy Manager HR. After my maternity leave, i was on leave for next 6 months which was LWP. But due to some reasons i have to leave the job in Oct 2009. As now i have started searching for a job, i am not getting any good opportunities. Is that coz of the job break.

One of our collegue, aged 28 years and earning one lakh per month, died in a road accident away from his workplace while travelling (off duty) in his native place.My queries are..

1.What are the liabilities on the company employing around 8000 people in such case?

2.Is compensation act applicable?

3.If yes, what is the amount payable to the deceased employee's family?
