Posted: 25 Jun 2010 03:00 PM PDT I am Spanish, working in USA with a L1 visa since March, 2008. In my offer letter, it was said that I would receive $70000 plus per diem. I was getting this for a year and a half. Last September, 2009, and without my consent, alleging that receive per diem for me was illegal (They didn't explain was and I still don't understand. I am not a resident, therefore I should be entitled to get my per diem), they change this for fringe benefits. In the pay slip of September, they put $36000 as fringe benefits, while I only had receive $29000 at that time. I guess that they include the taxes on that. After that, I had to pay the per diem for the following payments, having my net income being greatly diminished. Besides, and due to the fact that fringe benefits are taxable, I have had my gross income increased in about $59000. As results of that, I had to pay a lot more money for taxes. Can they do that? |

The affecting groups are: - Specialists e.g. Engineers - Middle Management e.g. Team Leader - Management/Directors The groups should be different in terms of the range. Specialist should be less than Middle Management. Same for Management/Directors, which should have the maximum range. I would need a concept, which considers qualitative factors as well as quantitative factors. Further, I have no feeling, which PRI range for each group would be appropriate.
