SUMMARY

The Kansas City Plant is a U. S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration facility managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T). Our primary business is to manufacture sophisticated mechanical, electronic and engineered-material components for our nation's defense system. Our goal is to seek innovative solutions that surpass our customers' expectations. To accomplish this, we research, develop and deploy some of the most advanced design and manufacturing technologies in use in the United States today. All positions at FM&T require U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

The Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Manager directly consults and advises site Business Leaders and manages systems, processes and initiatives to drive and effect Organization assessment, design, change, growth and sustained progress.

The successful candidate will be a valued business and executive partner who demonstrates organizational agility and versatility, comfortably navigates across all organizational levels, and situationally adapts communication styles and uses of media to the audience, to effectively influence leader direction. The OE Manager gains client agreement and commitment to proposed solutions and collaboratively develops an overall implementation strategy, using proven foundational project management skills to scope, plan, execute, manage and measure effectiveness of projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilizes recognized models, tools and processes, including the creation of comprehensive change and transition plans, to improve the effectiveness of the organization's technical or structural elements and ensure successful execution
Facilitates alignment of organizational culture, systems and processes, with key priorities; ensures Center of Excellence priorities map to business priorities; builds change management and organization design capability and accountability with HR generalists and line managers
Leads Organizational talent management, including succession planning, targeted development plans and gap analysis
Owns learning systems, designs learning solutions and measures effectiveness to sustain value-add learning for the business. Identifies development needs and partners with Honeywell Aerospace and Corporate Learning Leaders, as well as external resources when necessary, to develop relevant learning solutions
Manages FM&T L.E.A.D program for early career high potentials
Supports HR Colleagues in building OD capability

Organizational Assessment, Diagnosis & Feedback: Identify and understand business issues and client needs. Utilize recognized models such as STAR, McKinsey's 7S, SWOT, etc. to diagnosis organizational systems
Process Consultation: Effectively apply phases of consulting (Entry & Contracting, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation) to enable the client to perceive, understand, and act upon process events which occur in the client's environment. Able to diagnose these processes and intervene effectively when necessary
Inter-group & Team Interventions: Select, design or develop appropriate interventions to address individual, team, or organizational needs
Talent Management: Design and implement enterprise- or business-wide processes (MRR and others) to: assess and calibrate bench strength; identify critical positions; identify high potential, high performing talent, and emerging talent; identify future capability needs; determine development needs; and identify talent retention and critical position vacancy risks
Talent Development: Develop enterprise-level talent programs that position high potential, high performing employees for challenging or critical business assignments. Administer assessments (e.g., 360, MBTI, etc.) and provide feedback and coaching in support of development planning
Learning Solutions: Negotiate stakeholder success indicators and convert expectations into measurable and successful learning outcomes. Understand the client's business model and goals, using economic, financial, and organizational data to build and document the business case for investing in workplace learning solutions
Learning Application: Design learner initiatives that focus on self-management and experiential learning solutions
Learning Delivery System: Understand performance impact of learning delivery systems to work, worker and work environment
Learning Solution Effectiveness - Measure the impact of learning programs and identify overall metrics (e.g., KPIs, Kirkpatrick Model) to evaluate learning solutions and knowledge sustainment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

US Citizenship (to obtain and maintain security clearance)
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, HR or related field
Minimum 7 years experience in OD, Talent Management and/or Learning & Development
Minimum 7 years of related experience in a relevant role (reflective of demonstrated and implemented OD interventions)
Ability to travel up to 25%

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree in Organization Development, HR or related field
10 or more years experience in OD, Talent Management and/or Learning & Development
Experience in complex, global and highly matrixed organizations
OD experience at a US National Laboratory or government complex managed by private industry
Experience with government contract compete
Access to and experience with versatile and contemporary OD toolkit and network
Ability and willingness to relocate

I am a Post graduate HR student of Institute of Management development & Research (IMDR) Pune. IMDR is the oldest and reputed management Institute from Pune. I will'be completing my course by 1st week of March 2010.

I am looking for a job in HR. I have done two Internship as a part of my course. Summer Internship of 6 weeks with Tata Motors, CVBU, Pune. The project was on Training effectiveness evaluation. I did Winter Internship of almost 3 months with Deepak Nitrite Ltd. In Deepak Nitrite Ltd., I did Job Competency Assessment for knowledge Workers as well as worked on Enhancing employee Productivity.

Relieving without notice

Hi,

I have resigned from a organization in probation period without giving notice period. I wrote thrice about my resignation and requested them for acceptance. I was rerady to pay in lieu of the notice period.

My question is whether it is mandate to serve the notice period when you are willing to pay in lieu of the notice period.

The company is not providing me the acceptance and releiving letter and forcing me to serve the notice period. Please advice whether any legal action can be taken as per labour laws?

Dear all,

I am working in IT company in Banglore. now i am planning to quite a job.

Bond Main Points

1. Whereas the employer has appointed Mr. XXXX effective form oct 20th 2009

2. As per the appointment letter dt:Oct 21th 2009, the employee will be under probation for a period of 6th months. The employee Appointment may be confirmed subject to satisfactory completion of the Probation Period.

3. It is agreed between the parties that the employee shall serve the employer for a minimum period of One year, starting form the date of joining the company and that it is inclusive of probation period.

a). "If the employee fails to complete the minimum period of service as referred to in Point #3 above, the employee shall pay the employer 50% of the total salary payable to that employee for the shortfall period to complete th minimum service criteria.

4. The employee has to provide on surety to compensate the emplyer in case of default to pany the 50% of the total copensation as started in clause 3(a)

In this how can i quit the company. Please suggest me.
