Posted: 18 May 2010 03:36 PM PDT Hi- currently living in CA- USA where I have been a stay at home mum for past 5 years. Thinking of returning p/t to work in HR where I have nearly 5 years experience. Obtained MCIPD status before I left UK in 2005- though not worked since. I have been told I can't transfer my CIPD status over here in US so need to retrain...but unsure as to what I should do next. The thought of starting again at 35 (with 2 small children) does not fill me with joy! What's the best and quickest way for me to a good potential HR employee? Doing a HRM certificate to refamiliarise myself and then simply take the SHRM certificate? Advice please?!! |

serious threat in my Company from manager & TL Posted: 18 May 2010 11:25 AM PDT I am working with a call center, This call center is worst call center I have ever seen, but it is ranked 2 once by NASSCOM in 2007 i think. this call center pay is very less when compared to the same process of the other companies. The managers, team leader tell the employees to extend and work on weekly off also. So I had a direct discussion with my team leader that I cannot extend or work on weekly off if the organization is not going to pay me extra money for it. I told him that you must put a request to manager. I told my team leader that I will resign if you force me to extend or work on weekly off without paying extra. but still i worked one day on weekly off which he told me to work. my team leader told me that your attitude is not correct. After the discussion with him, i think he complained about me to the manager, the things got changed, they started torturing me indirectly. they were speaking about my behavior and all by standing near me (indirectly) . But I managed to be silent and I was patient i said nothing about it. After a day Manager was speaking about terminating( not with me) and didn't let me login, she told to wait until your team leader arrives, I msged team leader, the team leader didn't respond. I thought there is some serious issue and I came off to home, I am thinkng of leaving the job, so the question is now. If I leave the job now, will they blacklist me for NASSCOM? because sometimes my TL was threatening employees who left company that he will blacklist to NASSCOM. So what I have to do now? Please guide me ......... |

Posted: 18 May 2010 09:28 AM PDT Hi I have a basic query with regard to WCA Policy. In case an establishment is covered under ESI Act and it has some of the employees who have salary more than 15000/-. The employees who are covered under ESI would definitely not be requiring WCA policy. WHat about those who have crossed the ESI limit i.e 15000/-. Are these employees need to be covered under WCA policy or a separate accident policy can be taken by that establishment instead of WCA. |
