Posted: 06 Feb 2010 01:03 PM PST Hi I wanted to know if a person who has served in a private organisation in India for 4 1/2 years, whether he is eligible for gratuity or not . Is notice period considered as a term of service. Also whether the Payment of Gratuity act overides the Companys own set of Gratuity rules ? Are there different set of rules for Indian and foreign companies operating in India ? Thanx. |

Posted: 06 Feb 2010 09:19 AM PST Hi, My Qualification : MPMIR from JankiDevi Bajaj Institute of Mgmt. Studies, SNDT and IA Plus from ICA Total exp : 3 yrs in HR I want join a SAP HR course but I am seeing conflicting views in internet about the usefulness of the course. I have 3 yrs experience in HR but I don't have any exp in SAP HR. I am planning to enroll in one of the training institutes but before shelling out Rs.1,80,000 I want to clear some of my doubts. *Will I get a job after completing the SAP Certification as a fresher? *Will I get a job as end user or should I first join a co implementing SAP as end user and then go in for certification? *I also want to know whether one can pass the certification exam in first attempt with sufficient practice and knowledge. We enquired with 2-3 SAP training institutes who said that demand for core modules is high and there isn't much demand for SAP HR as such. Also very little are enrolling for HR. I would like some SAP HR consultants or experts from the industry to guide me on this. I want to know the job prospects of SAP HR before going in for the certification and paying Rs.1,80,000. Also, some institutes are offering SAP course for Rs. 30,000 but they are giving training in SAP and there is no certification, no placement. One has to fend for oneself by posting cvs in jobsites. I am keen to learn SAP and make my career in it but the high fees and job scope for fresher / entry level is deterring me. So, all professionals and SAP HR Consultants, kindly treat my query as urgent and answer it. |
